Dallas Mavericks Finalize Coaching Staff

Jason Kidd Announces Complete Roster

Major Additions and Returners

The Dallas Mavericks have officially announced the finalized members of their coaching staff under new head coach Jason Kidd. After being named the 10th head coach in Mavericks history on June 28, 2021, Kidd has now completed his staff, which includes both new additions and familiar faces.

Among the new additions to the staff is Sean Sweeney, who spent three seasons as an assistant with the Detroit Pistons before joining Kidd's team in Dallas. Sweeney brings a wealth of experience to the Mavericks, having also worked as an assistant with the Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets.

In addition to Sweeney, Kidd has also brought in Jared Dudley, who joins the staff as an assistant coach and player development consultant. Dudley spent 14 seasons in the NBA as a player, most recently with the Los Angeles Lakers, and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the coaching staff.

A New Era for the Mavericks

With the coaching staff now finalized, the Mavericks are ready to embark on a new era under Jason Kidd's leadership. Kidd, who was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2018, is a highly respected figure in the basketball world, and he will look to bring his championship pedigree to Dallas.

The Mavericks are coming off a disappointing season in which they finished 32-50 and missed the playoffs. However, with a talented young roster and a new coaching staff in place, there is reason for optimism in Dallas. The Mavericks will tip off their regular season on October 21st against the Atlanta Hawks.
